FAQ

In order for you to save money in building a chicken house, you can use recycled materials rather than purchase new ones. Take a look around your house and you will find several materials that you can recycle for building a chicken house, such as empty cartons, grocery carts, baskets, and boxes.
All you need to do is to put holes in front of your empty box, which will serve as the windows of your improvised chicken house. Make sure that your box is large enough to house a chicken. Also, the holes should be big enough for the chickens to stick out their heads in, so that they can eat their food. You should then hang a small container outside the box near the holes where you can put the chickens’ food and water.
Aside from windows, your chicken house should also have a little door so that you can put the chickens inside it.
If you don’t have a large box, you can also use empty wooden boxes. To provide a cover for the basket, place a carton on top of the basket. Make sure to provide a hole on the carton where you can put the chicken feeds in.
You can also use carton boxes if you want to transport your chicken from one place to another. Aside from carton boxes, you can also use small grocery carts to transport chickens.
There are a lot of things that you can recycle in order to make a chicken house. All you need is a creative mind and you’ll be sure to have something improvised.
